Our story started long before Smart Window Company existed.

I grew up in Maryland and became fascinated with building products at a young age, especially windows and doors. At 16 years old, I told my parents I wanted to start a window and door company after high school.

While attending college, I spent most of my time learning the business hands-on, working for a master contractor across the street from campus. That experience shaped the way I still approach this business today — with a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way.

In 1989, I moved to Los Angeles to start a home-improvement company.
That same year, I met my business partner Alan, and we have been working together ever since.

Over the past three decades, we have owned and operated multiple home-improvement companies and installed more than 100,000 windows and doors for homeowners throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County.
